The association EMPAIA International e. V. aims to establish and advance the use of AI in pathology. It continues the work of the EMPAIA project and the ecosystem developed over the last four years.
 

Its key objectives are:
 

• Involve all stakeholders, from industry to end users
   

• Remain vendor neutral
   

• Promote open and free interfaces
   

• Support established standards such as DICOM and IHE
   

• Solve problems that a single market participant cannot solve alone

EMPAIA International will offer to members
 

• Access to the latest AI technology and research in digital pathology: Members will be able to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and breakthroughs in AI technology and how it can be applied in the field of digital pathology.
   

• Networking opportunities: Members will have the opportunity to connect with other professionals and researchers in the field of AI and digital pathology. This allows for collaborations, partnerships, and mentorship opportunities.
   

• Education and training: The association offers educational resources and training programs to its members to help them advance their skills and knowledge in AI and digital pathology.

EMPAIA International will spin-off of a limited liability company for commercial activities and further development of the components/software developed within EMPAIA as well as the operation of the EMPAIA platform.
